Qulture Collective Launches Campaign to Raise Funds for Multi-Business Space

Qulture Collective has launched an Indiegogo Campaign to help cover buildout and development costs for a collaborative café, retail shop, gallery, and shared workspace in downtown Oakland dedicated to serving the queer community. Qulture Collective is a multi-entrepreneur led business collective founded by three queer women, the first of its kind in the Bay Area. The space also functions as a community gathering place after regular business hours and is set to soft launch in late August.

Located steps away from the 19th St. BART station, Qulture Collective is committed to keeping the queer presence loud and proud in a city that has come to be known for its high concentration of queer residents and queer-focused non-profits and organizations as well as for its vibrant culture of arts and activism. Qulture Collective seeks to bring together artists, entrepreneurs, activists, and visionaries in a dedicated LGBTQIA-friendly and safe space to network, build enterprise, and cultivate creativity. In doing so, they aim to generate an ongoing cycle of support and jobs that will benefit the community for years to come.
